MARITIME – Fish & Ships

MARITIME – Fish & Ships (EXTENDED to 8 May)
Artist: David Kemp
Location: Coburg Wharf, the Marina

This eco-friendly sculptural creature encompasses the essence of the River  Mersey – its incredible sea voyages, departures, migrant arrivals and its everyday comings and goings.

As one of the world’s busiest rivers, big ships,  ferries and cruise liners share their space with fishermen, pleasure crafts and now – an increasingly diverse marine life. Animated by the wind, watch as the  tiny passengers on board this fantastical vessel wave from their port holes.

Location provided with the kind permission of British Waterways.
