Please let me know if an image of this picture ever appears online and I will post a link on the Facebook page I have set up to promote the relevance of Eleanor’s work for social justice today. My interest in Eleanor comes originally from her being my great great aunt but now, esp with the threat to child benefit, I am taking up her causes because I believe in them.
Hi Ruth, What a wonderful Great Aunt you have! I am totally in awe of her.
I am so glad to hear you are taking up her causes – she was a truly inspired soul who worked tirelessly for the rights of those powerless to help themselves.
I am interested to know how you will be going about it?
Hi Linda thank you for the comment. Primarily I will just be updating the Facebook page regularly. I’ve inherited lots of ancient and interesting books of her writings, and writings about her by others, so I will be using those as well to spread the word.
I’d love to see some of the material you have about Eleanor, I feel both inspired by and in awe of her.
Ok, Ruth. Will do.
Your Eleanor Rathbone facebook page looks very interesting. I ‘like’ it.
